Soldiers in Egypt

Two soldiers. One from the Wilts, the other from the Royal Field Artillery

Dennis John Neabard aged 17 of the Royal Marine Light Infantry. Dennis lived at 22 Radnor Street. He survived the war but ended his days in Roundway Hospital, Devizes (Psychiatric Hospital).

George Shurmar. Royal Field Artillery. Bristol born, but came to live in Swindon just after the war. (I have his cap badge!) A brilliant cartoonist.

Some of George's characters

George Shurmar's mates as part of the occupying army on the Rhine, 1919. And some of the horses from the battery
