Swindon Volunteer Training Corps. Home defence.

In October 1915 there were 626 men in this Corps. They drilled once a week in Park Lane and Prospect Place and also at the County Ground. They provided other duties such as orderlies for the Red Cross hospital, Guards for Draycott Camp at Chiseldon and volunteers for the Swindon Fire Brigade.
